SEA Makerthon 2016 is a series of Makerthons being run in 10 cities across the region by South East Asia Makerspace Network (SEAMNET) makerspaces from June to October 2016. Makerthon winners will join the Grand Finale held in Singaporeat the SEAMNET Summit in October. The winning teams will have an opportunity to pitch to investors and join the Apprenticeship programme by SEAMNET partners.
In Bandung City - Indonesia, the event is organized by Labtek Indie, a local technology and innovation think tank, and hosted at Bandung Institute of Technology. Before the actual event, we (Luftmenschen collective Berlin), teamed up with Labtek Indie, held a preparation workshop for participants that will take part in SEA Makerthon 2016. The workshop topic is "Designing A World With Zero Waste, How might we design good products for lifetime use and encourage innovative business solutions?"
